Women from the Sea – Hong Kong and Macao - `Project Introduction

This informal event introduces Women from the Sea through a short presentation and a trailer screening from Women from the Sea – Azores.

The session will include an open Q&A and time to socialise in a relaxed setting.

About the project

Women from the Sea is a UN-endorsed, UNESCO-recognised project celebrating women with a profound connection to the ocean. Since 2024, it has been recognised as a Decade Action under the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030).

Through documentaries, a mini-series, a communication campaign and a digital platform, the project brings together stories from women across cultures and professions whose lives are shaped by the sea.
